Backing tracks are regularly requested by solo artistes and song writers.
I was recently employed to arrange create and engineer an entry for the Eurovision Song contest.
One of my talented customers was
recently signed up for a commercial band. The all important demo CD was created at my studio.
Indeed in Dec 2002, a CD created in this very studio was released by ICC record
label for national release, and BBC Radio 2 air play is now in the offing.
This material has been given regular soundings for 3 years now on BBC Southern
Counties Radio, and indeed it is only because of the listeners to BBC SCR
presenter John Radford and producer Alex Lewis that our material has been
signed on by the ICC label and now being researched by BBC radio 2 in
preparation for national airplay . So for serious backing tracks for the
song and dance routine or whatever my studio facilities will do the job
adequately.
Also customers bring along their pre-prepared backing tracks to record the
vocals track on top.
